Engage the psychological state of limerence. A condition defined by involuntary infatuation and obsessive idealization.

By invoking this psychological framework, The Limerent Object becomes a study in perception, illusion, and the limits of embodiment. The work exists simultaneously as a physical print and a digital overlay that can only be experienced through the lens of a personal device. In this mediated act of viewing, the boundaries between material and virtual collapse, the Egyptian god Medjed is invoked. While not much is known about Medjed, his ghost-like depiction has earned him a spot in modern pop culture. Here he acts as limerent, revealing how desire itself can generate new forms of seeing and belief.
